What are the monthly fees? What does that include?
The students pays monthly fees which include electricity, water, Netflix, internet access and security.
Is the bedroom furnished?
The rooms are fully furnished. Students are required to supply their own bedding, towels and bath mat.
Do I have to share toilet/shower facilities? With how many people?
Yes, students share the toilet/shower with 3 or 4 others.
Is there internet access?
Yes, there is free internet access throughout the house for all residents.
Are there catering facilities?
The residence is self-catering and residents have access to an equipped kitchen.
Is there parking available?
We do have some parking bays for students.
How many students can House Van Riebeeck accommodate?
We can accommodate 42 students.
How close is House Van Riebeeck to colleges and CPUT?
It is within walking distance of most including CPUT, Huguenot College, Versailles Bible College and various other teaching institutions in Wellington.
May I come and view House Van Riebeeck?
You are welcome to view the residence on appointment. To do so please make an appointment with the Manager on 082 073 1928.
Are there Laundry facilities?
We have a washing machine and outside wash lines.
May I have visitors?
Yes, you are welcome to receive visitors. Male visitors are allowed access to the dining area only. All visitors must vacate the premises by 8pm on Sunday – Thursday and by 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. All visitors must be signed in.
Do you have a curfew?
No, there is no curfew. Residents have 24-hour access to House Van Riebeeck.
